DIY Sofa Cover

Enough posting about food for a while, too many picture of food to post. As i took photo almost everyday of my cooking hehe..should have instagram will be nice to post photo. Recently we decide to make corner for recycled furniture etc..so we took old sofa from mother in law place and cover it with new sofa cover.
Here is the clothes, roughly around 3 meter for the 2 sofa. My assistant is sleeping while am stitching the rest of the pieces together.

Here is how the sofa cover look before cover

The 2 picture show the end product of the 2 sofa. The small pillow cover was bought from Jaipur, India during our golden triangle trip there. Finally i found the use of it. Matching isnt it?

Side view of the sofa

PS: All the cover are hand stitch...stitch till my finger pain. For next project gonna get myself electric sewing machine.

Homemade pita bread and Thyme fatayer

We eat pita bread a lot here in Cairo, its a staple.  Its like eating rice back in Malaysia. We eat for breakfast with cheese or eggs, for lunch and dinner. Taste is plain as its made of only flour and water with little bit of salt and oil (optional). Usually we bought from bread maker but here am learning to make my own just for fun and incase we travel anywhere that doesn't have pita bread i can bake at home. Sustainable living in the making haha.

Here it is Pita bread puffing like pillow. Its always thrilling to watch it puffing up. Sometimes it puff up halfway or just bubble up few places but thats fine, maybe due to uneven bread surface i guess or temperature not hot enough.

Sometimes i divide my dough into 2 batch, first one to make pita and the other half i make this fatayer with thyme. I forget what it is call..T_T when i remember it i will try to update it here. This is good for breakfast. You can make it chewy or crunchy as preferred.
